It's one of the best PC games you'll ever play. The game was released in 1993 and it still has more depth than most strategy games this day.

just one, when i realised i dont do any of the actual fighting i knew i would play it for 2 hours max.
so far i have renamed my guys and baught a SHITTTON of guns.

The first one is the only one you need anyways. X-Com 2 is fun but its just the same as 1 but underwater (which is kind of lame). And the 3rd X-com is just terrible

X-Com is seriously in my top 5 games of all time. I did a playthrough story like this a while back... I should dig up the link.
It's a shame most of the "spiritual successors" have totally dropped the ball.
