Re: recorder - [fr31ns]Karrde - 05-14-2009

I'm not a doctor (going to be a nurse eventually Tongue ) but whats your lifestyle like?  This could be stress related or something else.  Usually with sleep apnea, it's not self reported.  Usually a family member or significant other's the one who notices it first.  How much sleep do you get at night/do you have a regular sleep schedule?  How much and how often do you drink, same question for recreational drug use, whats your diet like?  And my comment regarding universities stands.

Re: recorder - Dave - 05-14-2009

see, stress.

Re: recorder - MrGrey - 05-14-2009

How frequent is frequent? Also, having a memory of it is contrary to the definition of micro-arousal, and thus not particularly unique (idiopathic) to sleep apnea. Individuals who have panic attacks have been known to fear that they can't breath or their hearts are failing. I'm not saying you have panic attacks, and I am not saying you are not having panic attacks. I am saying that if you are really concerned about this you probably see a medical professional.

While an associated symptom, snoring is not particularly diagnostic of anything.

(05-14-2009, 02:58 PM)ForumPolice link Wrote: -piss 2 times during night

Within the average range, depending on liquid intake.

(05-14-2009, 02:58 PM)ForumPolice link Wrote: -blood pressure is high.

High blood pressure is associated with, but not proven to be cause by, autonomic arousal. Sorry, Grey, but autonomic arousal is way of saying stress. Not necessarily long-term or chronic stress, but an acute episode of autonomic arousal stresses the system (heart races, breathing picks up).

If you usually tired or fatigued on waking, or have a hard time getting going in the morning, or frequently oversleep your set waking time (which you say you don't), then you should definitely see a doctor soon.

Re: recorder - MrGrey - 05-14-2009

why see a doctor soon?  lots of people have trouble waking up or feel a bit fatigued..

If you sleep a full night (8 hours) and wake up tired/not rested, it is highly indicative of what you're afraid of having. It can also mean that you have poor sleep hygeine or have a large sleep debt, but is something worth speaking to a physician about if it happens on a regular basis.

People who live like this....

...tend to sleep well and wake rested. Plus, if you actually have sleep apnea, you will need a physician to treat it anyways, and any self-respecting physician will need to independently test you to confirm the presence of the disorder for themselves unless you can present credible medical records of prior diagnosis. And no, BRBU printouts don't count.

Re: recorder - MrGrey - 05-14-2009

800 for consultation 2900 for test and who knows what else for treatment... i'd rather die in my sleep thank you very much

As much as I'm torn about this (<3), if you do have sleep apnea, you will never get any decent sleep until you get it treated.

No sleep-> Poor job performance-> Loss of job-> Homelessness-> Whatever Fyre will be doing (NSFW)

I find this hard to understand. Did they give you a reason? Also, I don't think you can really compare a private company's terms of service to Nazism.

Remove it from your sig, the 'removed' image is more annoying than the stupid liebel in the first place.

And if you want to post pics that won't get censored, drop some cash and use your own webspace, freeloader.
