[/quote] They probably get a ton of takedown requests from artists, also duplicate cleanup and that kind of stuff. Dupe clean-up is easy with a script, take-down requests are frankly, easy to ignore. The simplest solution is hosting in a country where the laws are either in your favor (Sweden) or the authorities don't give a flying fuck (Russia). I at least tend to be of the mindset of 'if you post it publicly as the original artist, its fair game for anyone to repost anywhere, provided they don't claim it as their own and don't make money on it' Thus it always seems funny to me when a booru or *chan has any sort of 'do not post list', I suppose sometimes its best not to offend an artist(s), but if you never wanted something posted on the internet, then don't ever put it in any publicly accessible part of it, period.
