Its also a function of price vs quality and how a photo is framed. Of that whole pile the totodile is the most impressive. Most of the others are nicely made but not ZOMG IMPRESSIVE. Re: Neat stuff (non-lulz but interesting things) - A. Crow - 06-22-2013 gonna admit Caff, the eyes on his/hers look pretty good. Re: Neat stuff (non-lulz but interesting things) - FlyingMongoose - 07-09-2013 So, HeK, you going to build one of these for the next Acen? http://www.instructables.com/id/Nerf-Vulcan-Sentry-Gun/ Re: Neat stuff (non-lulz but interesting things) - HeK - 07-09-2013 (07-09-2013, 03:19 AM)FlyingMongoose link Wrote: So, HeK, you going to build one of these for the next Acen? No projectiles, against con rules. Re: Neat stuff (non-lulz but interesting things) - FlyingMongoose - 07-09-2013 But it's nerf! You could always built the sentry and not bring the actual projectiles though. I mean a working engie sentry gun? Just go outside to demo it for people. Re: Neat stuff (non-lulz but interesting things) - at0m - 07-10-2013 Con rules say no projectiles, no exceptions. Even setting it up outside is iffy. Also, those guns are loud as hell and don't shoot very far. Source: I own one. Also^2, dem tall blonde german women who play with nerf guns Re: Neat stuff (non-lulz but interesting things) - FlyingMongoose - 07-10-2013 (07-10-2013, 10:33 AM)at0m link Wrote: Con rules say no projectiles, no exceptions. One that doesn't shoot anything, also I know they don't shoot very far, I own one too. Because I'm an adult and I can buy the toys I never got as a kid now. [/quote]Parents wouldn't let you have nerf guns as a kid? Get a job right out of college, immediately fill a closet in your apartment with nerf guns. That vid she did swap to a double-power spring, and is overvolting the drive motor, so that's why it's working so well I think. Regarding using the same system to do a sentry, I concur, but if you're not firing anything then you can just make it a more accurate prop that makes noise instead of using a Nerf gun |
