It takes the skater shoe (ugly as fuck, no arch support, heavy), and slaps on a retarded old-school basketball shoe ankle support thing up top.

It takes two retarded, clashing, and outdated styles and merges them into a single, utterly uncool, and ugly as fuck form.

I play tennis, roller blade, and dig fancy kicks.

If you can afford $80 shoes Turtle, get a pair of Pumas on sale somewhere for <$60.  They're really comfy, pretty supportive, and look nice.  Only problem is that they wear pretty fast (faster than my DC and Nike "skater shoes."
Or go to Wal-mart and try some stuff on.  I did that for my actual tennis shoes until I started wearing the Pumas to play.

Good for almost anything.  I almost concussed myself wearing tennis shoes to work one time.  My boss decided to mop the floor with degreaser for some reason.  Making it really, really, slick.  I wore my tennis shoes for everything, so I wore out the bottom fairly quickly, that thing had no traction.  You see where this is going.  I slipped, and came a half inch from smacking my head against a counter.  After that I invested in a nice pair of non-stick work shoes.

But yeah, tennis shoes for lyfe.
