Drop by, we can have lunch. Things to do: Rocket Burger on 35th Ave and Cactus is the best god damn restaurant around here. Dunno if you're into hiking, but if there was ever a place to casually climb a mountain, this would be it. Tempe Improv usually has some class acts. I think David Spade is in this week. If you're into jazz, The Nash is a live jazz lounge. Fucking love that place. Lake Powell and the Grand Canyon are worth a visit if they're on your road trip out. Not much beyond that, without know what kind of things you'd be looking for. Re: - at0m - 12-23-2013 Rocket burger is tasty taste. Will be in Chicago today through Friday. Staying in Scottsdale. Re: Where in the world is..... Re: Where in the world is..... (Business Travel Thread) - Surf314 - 12-24-2013 Might be in Philly end of Jan, then DC, then bay area in early Feb. Re: Where in the world is..... Ithaca MI the rest of the week. Chicago sometime over the following weekend until I'm done. Then back to bmore. Pittsburgh is on the agenda whenever the hell I get around to it, but I'll probably be working 7 days a week in the office through the end of March. I was busy the entire time though  I will be permanently relocating for work to a location that is convenient(ish) to Philly, Baltimore, and DC. Edit: I will be moving in on the 14th, which is also my bday. Re: Where in the world is..... (Business Travel Thread) - k0ala - 03-09-2014 No prob, if you stayed busy then the trip was a success. Re: Where in the world is..... (Business Travel Thread) - rumbot - 03-09-2014 I need more SF trips. Had 3 so far, all under adverse life circumstances, and all wonderful. I'd love to live there if I could replicate my job and lifestyle there. In the meantime, St. Maarten. Re: Where in the world is..... (Business Travel Thread) - k0ala - 03-10-2014 We will have an epic jam if you make it out to my neck of the woods. Until then, I will dream of life in St. Maarten as well. Re: Where in the world is..... (Business Travel Thread) - rumbot - 03-10-2014 The last time I was in san fran I met a dude in a line going into a show. We made small talk, then we talked about the show, and he was surprised I'd crossed the continent to get there. He said I needed to move out there with other likeminded folk. [/quote] From what my friends at Kingmakers (http://kingmakerscolumbus.com) say, Origin's Game Fair is one of the largest tabletop gaming conventions in the US... I've never been honestly, I only found out it existed this year, and apparently they are hosting Catan World Champtionship Qualifiers. I don't even know if I'll have time to go this weekend. Re: Where in the world is..... (Business Travel Thread) - Coppanuva - 06-12-2014 Not exactly business travel, but I'll be moving out to Seattle by mid-July. If anyone's ever lived in that area and has recommendations on food/things I should definitely check out (or wants to hang out if they still actively live there) let me know. |
