That's not a bad deal at all.  Personally I'm not that upset about The Sandman, though I don't think it should stop an Uber at all.  Two scouts with the sandman can effectively cancel out an uber entirely which doesn't make any sense for a baseball to do, but nothing else can touch it.

Removed the damage reduction against non-stunned enemies on the new bat

Hopefully they work now:

Fixed Force-A-Nature description not fitting inside the item window
Fixed the Axtinguisher

Thing is, an airblasting pyro can be stopped by a third member if necessary, and if it catches both the medic and the uber target, then they can still both do their job of wreaking havoc on people. Sure it's not the most effective, but they fear nothing aside from their uber running out.

With the Sandman all it takes is one hit and you lose at least three seconds since the medic still has to react to the Sandman (if they weren't the one hit) and because the uber drains faster when you're switching targets.

Plus lol Natascha broken right now. Also, now that item switching is (recently) broken as well, anyone who didn't act fast enough are locked with Heavies at 75% DPS. It's not even terribly OP when it's actually working. It's a good unlock.

Okay, after playing being sandman'ed numerus times, I gotta say the Sandman is ridiculus. First off, the fact that a scout and run up hit you with the ball, which takes the same amount of skill as tossing a pipe bomb or firing a flare, leave you completely defenceless, then have enough time to go up and kill you from basicly any distance is game breaking.

Second, when I think uber, I think of a heavy coming around the corner last cap of dustbowl with his minigun going and his medic right behind him. Before, a pyro could come along and throw him or the medic off the edge. Destorys the uber, but isn't always effective or possible on other maps. But now, a scout could just come along and and toss a ball at him. Considerably easy considering how large and slow the heavy is.  Throw in another scout and they just cancled out the entire uber, leaving them to get torn up by rockets and gunfire.  Was not the point of an uber to give someone 10 seconds of uninterupted destruction?  The sandman completly ruins one of the pillars this game was built on.

Valve needs to tone down the effect of the sandman to something along the lines of what Caff said. Then they need to get rid of the effect on ubers completly. It's pathetic.

TF2 just updated

Gameplay changes

Added a duck timer that prevents duck spamming while running around on-ground
In-air, players are only allowed to duck once before they touch ground again
Fixed several bounding box issues with jumping, falling, and rocket jump air-walking. Bounding box should be much more accurate there now
Increased backstab check so that Spies can side-stab again
When disguising, Spies now always start showing the primary weapon in their disguise, and can then switch it with the last-disguise key


TF2 Fixes

Fixed flamethrower loophole that resulted in the flame effect being stuck on while the flamethrower wasn't really firing
Fixed exploit that allowed players to circumvent the force-fire timeout on the pipebomb launcher
Fixed a bug that caused Natasha's slow on hit effect to be inverted from 75% to 25%
Restored sawmill_logs.mdl file, fixing some user maps that used it
Fixed some localization issues with Scout achievement strings
Removed the "Final" phrasing in the map loading screen

Bleh, sidestabbing is just going to mean more cheap backstabs that spies didn't really deserve.  I was fucking cleaning up with spy as it was, they didn't need to do that just because so many people suck balls with spy.
