Re: Left 4 Dead 2 - KarthXLR - 03-07-2010 Trolled some trolls tonight. B) Re: Left 4 Dead 2 - KarthXLR - 04-06-2010 Valve still hasn't fixed corner camping in the Dark Carnival finale, friggin pisses me off. Re: Left 4 Dead 2 - PyroZombie - 04-13-2010 Regarding the rumors about the passing are true, as soon as I finally am able to play anything, I got a special tribute spray. What? Re: Left 4 Dead 2 - PyroZombie - 04-13-2010 Wait, "What spray" or "what did i just say?"? Re: Left 4 Dead 2 - PyroZombie - 04-13-2010 Well they announced The Passing's tagline, "no one lives forever..." and told us that the name of the passing was intended to be a double-entandra and that one of the original 4 survivors will had sacrificed themselves for the benefit of the other 3. They also announced that a matching DLC will be released for L4D1 where one of the survivors in your party will have to sacrifice themselves for the other 3 to pass the finale. Alot of speculation is being thrown around to who will be killed.Francis, Louis, even Whitaker, because of similiarities between his model and the fallen survivors, but the majority is thinking it will be Bill, so I plan, in the event of Bill's sacrifice, to use this picture as a spray to commemorate my favorite survivor. Also, didn't Bill's voice actor die or go to prison or something which is why he didn't have any new dialog in Crash Course? ... just thinkin 'bout the old guys make me realize how much I miss them. :'( L4D Gang 4 Eva Re: Left 4 Dead 2 - PyroZombie - 04-14-2010 Actually, a bunch of idiots at a online newspaper made a joke about a guy who went to jail who looked like Bill, and it was so unfunny, everybody thought it was a actual story. Jim French is actually working on some kind of old-time mystery-suspense radio program(The shadow knows, The adventures of Sherlock homes, etc) on satellite radio. For Crash Course, I think he was on vacation, not entirely sure. Re: Left 4 Dead 2 - K2 - 04-14-2010 My thinking is that there won't be one set person who dies, especially if you'll be able to play this from the L4D1 survivors' perspective. If we're going to be playing this in L4D1 I don't think they'll force a specific character to sacrifice him/herself every time, so it may just randomly pick one to be dead when you meet the L4D1 survivors in The Passing. [/quote] What if only one player is left at the point where a player sacrifices themselves? Whatever, probably not worth thinking about. I'll just see what they do. Re: Left 4 Dead 2 - Surf314 - 04-14-2010 One person probably has to hit an event trigger that is unsurvivable to win. So you need to finish with at least 2. Re: Left 4 Dead 2 - beep beep diglett - 04-14-2010 im guessing the sacrifice will happen at the end, so 1 person doesnt have to sit out the entire game Re: Left 4 Dead 2 - K2 - 04-14-2010 (04-14-2010, 08:49 PM)Spore link Wrote: What if only one player is left at the point where a player sacrifices themselves? "someone has to hit the switch in the booth or we are all dead" "but then how will that person get out, they will be trapped!" "Maybe there is another way?" "It's OK I'll do it, I've lived a long fulfilling life" "No Bill!" "Shut up and get on the platform" Then you shoot zombies off bill while he survives long enough to hit a series of switches. Campaign ends with bill getting nailed by 3 tanks. Re: Left 4 Dead 2 - CaffeinePowered - 04-15-2010 (04-15-2010, 12:18 AM)Spore link Wrote: You still have to account for the chance of them surviving.
