unfortunately women still are (for the most part) extremely passive and you have to be the aggressive one. I know how much it sucks because I'm a very passive person myself, but damn, the worst thing that is going to happen is that you're going to get shut down. big fucking whup you're probably never going to see the person again.
obviously this is situational depending on the person, but so far it's been holding true to my experience.

No it's only one chance, but there is another law journal I actually think I want to be a part of more. It's the tech law journal, and while not as prestigious I will only have to do work on what I'm interested in. I've got until the end of the month for that one and I'm putting my best effort into it this time.

My dad's oncologist told my mom this morning that "this very well might be the end." They may not even bother going through the next round of immunotherapy because "it won't completely eradicate what he's got."
His opinion is beyond question. They've known the man for nearly 20 years, because he's the same oncologist that successfully treated my mom's breast cancer. He's been treating my dad as well since our dermatologist located and excised the first 'questionable spot' on my dad's arm, which turned out to be cancerous.
I've been preparing mentally for this moment ever since that same cancer recurred elsewhere in his body 6(?) years ago, but still. Fuck.

Nothing's killed me yet, so I think I'll live. But fuck, man. I already don't have any biological grandparents left, and my mom's brother's in the hospital with his kidneys failing as well. I do not envy my mother right now.
