I joined the eUSA forums Nitrous, and I’m looking to get more involved politically. What groups are you involved with? Any advice/thoughts are welcome.

Also, I'm not really affiliated with anyone in the eUSA, though Woxan runs a paramilitary called Task Force 141, and he's a TF2 player... and we're friends. I'm also friends with lightreb, party president of the United States Workers Party, so maybe try there. Tongue

I'm joining the ranks of Thailand, pretty much run by Americans, but there's very few players and they're trying to avoid getting PTO'd by Indonesia.

What advantages/disadvantages are there in moving to a smaller country? Do you still have a Q5 hospital? Are you active in the military, government, etc? What does PTO’d mean?

PTO = political take over. Basically you fly a bunch of people over and win enough elections to do whatever you want with the country. And with a small country you have a much better chance of being somebody, where in the eUS the power is pretty set and it is incredibly hard to get anyone to take you seriously or be apart of the administration unless you work your way up through a party.

It's the big fish/small pond - small fish/big pond problem.

Got it….very cool. So if I ever wanted the president achievement, for example, and I don’t spend the 16 hours a day on the eUS forums that it takes to get that job, I could move to a smaller country and try it there.

However, the country I could be moving too could have a terrible job market, no natural resources to speak of, unable to fight in training wars, and no Q5 hospital or defense.

So it’s kind of a trade-off.

That's basically it, but most smaller countries aren't as bad off as you'd think. And import tax to the eUS is 1% so you can sell goods in a bigger market.

The only reason you should be in any state other than Florida or California is to run for Congress. Move to either now; start there if possible.
