[/quote] <late response> No. While, sightreading does play a part in osu, when playing songs that consist of rapid beats with barly any time to move your hand from one beat to the next, memorization plays a much larger role. You have to know where to where to start moving your hand to before the note even appears a lot of the time.. Five beats going around a curve at 280bpm appearing less than half a second means you don't have time to look and analyze where how far to move your hand to reach the destination. Muscle memory plays a huge part in this game. At high speeds for both of these games, you don't sightread. What you do is use patterns in the display at cues.
