They are working on a self extracting release not through their shitty MTX, and they have made some updates to the game.

I spent the morning playing MW4: Mercenaries. The game works well, and I'm remembering a deep love for mech games. There's just something about dual mounting Rotary Auto Cannons and shredding Light mech Lances to little bits.

Is anyone interested in multiplayer?

I'm working on getting that. It'll be a while.

I'm up to version ...0021 and having connection issues. It seems I'm unable to connect to internet servers for some reason. I'm clear so far as my firewall goes, and that's the extent of my troubleshooting knowledge.

Does anyone play battletech and have news on Mechwarrior 5 or 6?  I cant remember if 5 was out or not.

5 and no news since the trailer, I think they're facing the same problems that got Battletech in trouble for showing a Warhammer mech, which was one of the ones involved in the mid-90's lawsuit by a Japanese company.

If I recall, however, the mech piloted by the viewer in the MW5 trailer was a Warhammer, which is why the current development problems are arising.

God I remember watching Robotech.. Even used to have a model Warhammer XD Mechwarriror 4 Mercs was good too, Mission mode might be good if we can get someone to host a 32 person server. (Might have to disable Artillery Beacons or a bug mech could cause some serious damage XD)

I got the discs lying around here somewhere.. wonder if it still works on Vista...

Works on Vista fine for me.


And yea No-Respawn Mission Play is the best.  Arti beacons kinda suck balls in the MekTek version though so no worries about them.
