Whether or not you or other admins choose to "prune" or remove posts that you view as destructive or offensive is up to your judgment. I'm not here to second guess your judgment issues of "stupid".
However, I have a personal bias against memory holes. My personal preference is that if a judgment is made to redact or delete that a note is left noting that something has been redacted or deleted. Not that explanation of why is needed, but a simple <<removed by admin_name>> is enough to keep me from thinking I have been hallucinating. I think it enhances transparency.
