I had a lot of fun tonight guys - I will definitly play this game a lot more, get better with it, and try to make every sat meeting for this game, if we have it weekly that is. My GF was watching me play for a while and was very interested, shes gonna try playing too. I will get her up to speed as CAFF got me up to speed. Thanks man, you da bomb!

so i have an on topic/off topic question(if that works). If I'm playing the game alone, what is there to do? are there missions to complete? So far I still have a ton of training stuff I need to complete, but I'm super tired of doing them - they are tedious. I'm not really sure where to go or what to do until I can get into a bigger group again...?

There is no in game mission system, if you open your player tab you can find squads listed that you can join to play with others, some groups will be nice and give you ventrilo info even.
Since planetside is all PVP there is no "go here and slay X mobs" or "go fetch this" computer generated missions.

[/quote]When I'm alone I usually go infil (stealth suit / electronics expert / combat engineering) and take a stealth ATV or transport out to the fringes of an unrelated battle (i.e. between the other two factions) and annoy the crap out of enemy snipers.

I played Planetside a couple times way back when it came out, but that was jsut a few friends and I on trials... It didn't last too long, because the game seemed broken. I've always loved the concept though, and wouldn't mind trying it out again.
