You betcha

We have a giant area rug downstairs and it makes the carpet look less "boring" and the room more cozy (seeing as the carpet is just a basic brown), even though the rug is just a solid color

Does it really bring the room together?

Re: Need help on new desk/room furnishings - KorJax - 08-02-2010

I think so.

The room is one big "main room", and the rug is located where we have the coffee table/couches and stuff. Makes it seem less like a few couches just placed against the walls and more like a designated space.

I'm thinking for the rug I'm wanting in my room it'll act as either an entrance mat or something where a chair/comfortable seat would go, perhaps even shelving.

Walls are a little bare at the moment but baby steps people, baby steps. Also needing a curtain and still wanting to get a blue cheapo rug. Other than that, pretty much done!

You're talking to a guy who thinks his walls are a little bare at the moment, despite having plenty of stuff on them already.

Re: Need help on new desk/room furnishings - KorJax - 08-19-2010

Eh, some areas seem a little bare but nothing major. It's looking fine otherwise.

I would freak out if I couldn't vacuum every once in awhile. I can't stand it when there's stuff on my feet when I walk on the carpet/floor.
