I read an article about how this is making arma2 one of the top selling games on steam and the devs are actually patching the game to make dayz run better.

Color me amused at the confusion apparent in 'srs bsns military sim game' communities over the fact that their beloved is being kept afloat by a 'game for little baby, but very popular!!!!!!' / free mod. Color BIS awesome if they actually patch up to make DayZ play better, or even go so far as to buy the mod team (a la Valve).

Finally died for the first time.
It was actually scary. I had found shelter in a building and as soon as I got in I started to try and close the doors, then I hit the floor (and did not do the dinosaur). I black out. I wake up and a zombie is in the door and I can hear my dude FREAKING THE FUCK OUT but I can't even turn around. Then I died.

Well the dev already works for them, so too late. I believe it's been said that they'll be putting official support for the mod in Arma 3.
