Given your opinions on anal sex, I'm surprised that would be on your mind. Wink

Necro

What did you need to have in order to invoke the manufacturers warranty caff ? Receipt , serial numbas , original packaging ?

I had to talk to Asus about my motherboard yesterday, and the only thing they needed was the serial number, which should be somewhere on the card/board itself if you don't have the original box.

Just the serial number, Asus keeps everyone on file, so you give them your serial number and they will look it up.

All motherboards and VGA cards are good for three years

Edit: Also what bacon said, it will either be on the box, on a sticker attached to the mobo/card, or engraved into the part itself

Depends on how old the drives are. WD is usually pretty good about replacing dead drives, but I think they've only got like a 3-year warranty. My dad's managed to get them replaced 4 years out though, so YMMV.
