its over hyped.

I am playing it now for the first time, and I'm not quite sure why this game is as raved about as it is.

Beat it, and see if you feel the same way. The final act is amazing.

Of course you beat CT 2 times.  The second time takes about 15 minutes, solo'ed, with Crono only.  Amirite?

Best first date ever.  Would only be more so if somehow Crono fractures his wrist after punching Lavos in the face and passes out semi-naked after asking Marle, "So, you wanna?"

Finished it yesterday. It got better when the story branched out after the middle part that bored me, but I didn't find the ending to be epic. I think it's a good game, like Shining Force good, with some interesting game mechanics for the time.

True. It's not so much the ending itself that's great, but all the sidequests in the build up to the fight. I kind of wish more of the game was like that, as exploring all the diffrent eras and seeing how they corelate was pretty awesome.
