[/quote] Yeah, it is, and with reduced respawn times iirc. It's why I left that cesspit. I suppose, but just throwing it out there so that it's known that we'd be competing with very popular, heavily-seeded servers (even if they are terrible; I managed to topfrag with a teammate on stompfest fastlane latenight from just tauntkills once :) Re: Blue Ver - Rework Time - Evil Cheese - 04-23-2010 Didn't Blue used to be the more popular server? Hm, things have changed it seems. I'd go with Blue being all customs, and being the less serious server while leaving red the way it is and maybe making it the more serious server. I'd rather have our servers suit our wants/needs as a community, not just ANOTHER 24/7 stock only to draw in new members. That way people could have a choice of playing just for shits and giggles or semi-serious. I like having choices. Plus isn't the whole draw of BRBU our atmosphere anyway? That's what will give us new members, not just doing the same as everyone else. Also, once summer starts up and schools start to let out, I think our server population will rise again. Right now it's nearing exam/graduation time for me so I don't have much time to play vidja games these days. Blue has never been more popular, but its changed a lot over time and its popularity has changed over time - Originally Duck hosted it out of his dorm at MIT, it was basically Red with less customs, and served as backup mainly on FNF/TFT for overflow - Change to 24/7 Dustbowl - For a while people wanted to play silly customs and mic spam, so it was used to fill that niche, but it never took off - Duck lost the box at MIT and it moved in spirit at least to being hosted in LA, and went back to mostly stock mpas, but also went no-crits - Moved to Dallas to get closer to the East coast, try a "popular" stock rotation And we arrive at our current impasse, Saturday I will upload all the necessary map files and hash everything out. I've heard a few others complain about it, but it seems it really only applies to scouts. On red, most of my shots either only register partially or don't hit at all. It's not about accuracy, it's just the shots aren't registering. I started playing on blue, went scout, and immanently noticed how much better the hit detection was. Every single one of my shots that should have hit ACTUALLY HIT. Re: Blue Ver - Rework Time - Black Aspen - 04-25-2010 As of right now: Red = 20/24 Blue = 17/24 Nice. That's why I don't play TF2 anymore. :-X Re: Blue Ver - Rework Time - beep beep diglett - 04-25-2010 (04-25-2010, 08:42 PM)Kirby, the Axe Zealot link Wrote: [ ftfy |
