What the shit?  Where the fuck did you find this Karth?  Do you have any idea where it's been?  Put it back this instant young man!

Also, don't get me wrong, but i think the FNF of note here was edited together by fail, complete with rummy's immortal badlands comment.

It doesn't miss you.

So, instead of being like zomg I miss it

Do something to bring it back, I dunno, maybe talk to Fail about helping run an FNF or something like that, if you know anything about filming, set up a night if you have an idea.

Sitting around swooning over something does exactly jack and shit, but if you have the motivation to get off your proverbial butt and organize something than do it. Those of us that used to be more involved (Kor, Scotty, Myself, etc), have had to take steps back over time for various reasons. If no one steps up to fill in any gaps (mad props to those of you that do), things like filming fall by the wayside.

I don't mean to turn this thread into an argument, but the community is what *YOU* make of it, not me or anyone else who helps manage things. We have always and will always have an approach of 'if you have an idea run with it', if you want to start doing a machinima night I will do everything I can to assist you, save for actually running it. Or if you wanted to expand into another game, same deal there, the amount of work Ive had to do to just get 10 - 15 people, a fraction of the people that play TF2 to try PS is enormous.

tl;dr less QQ, more...umm....well not pew pew, um...initiative, initiative?

This is more or less my thoughts exactly.  You are only entitled to what you work for.  So this forum needs less bitching and more doing stuff.  You are welcome to carve out any niche in this community you want, and if you are adding to it I will even help.  So if you don't like something, do something about it.

Except where drama is concerned, let people handle their own problems.

I was speaking generally. Early 2008 was good for me IRL. And yeah, the community was doing pretty well too. You guys are right though.

My rage was generic, caff's probably was too.

I'm pretty sure my niche is being the bloody sniper bitch and being a dick whenever someone says something completely stupid. Really, I wish I was credit to team.

We never got the full "SCOUTS ONLY BATS ONLY FINAL DESTINATION" .dem file ripped as whole video, as far as I'm concerned at least.

If I ever get the money to get a Mac and Final Cut, I would definitely like to try doing some machinima.

Re: FNF - 6/6/08 - Cameras are Rolling - Fail Medic - 05-18-2009

Yeah, if someone wants to do some crazy shit and get it properly filmed, then they should say so.  If someone says, "Hey, if you're running FNF, could you get everyone to go spec an hour in and then we'll all do a spy-crab tower at pl_whatever," I'm sure I or whatever admin is on hand will facilitate and even go spec to film it.

If you want to do something bigger and "lease" some server time during the week, again, big thumbs-up.  That's already on the table. Talk with an admin through Steam or forum thread / IMs well beforehand, though, so it isn't last minute.  Poor planning is a deal-breaker.  Work with the admins and ensure one will be on hand and also ensure you're not stepping on something already scheduled.

Oh, and if you're doing scripted stuff with people needing to follow stage directions, get them squared away and set before filming time and then you hit that ground running, because wrangling restless talent is a losing battle you don't want to fight.

We're here to help.
