Meh, flash cramps your style to much and I'd rather use Vim for the coding. I was more inquiring what languages would be possible. I could get something nice running quite quickly if I would use Ruby on Rails for example... And my opinion of PHP is quite well known. Re: OUR WEBSITE DESIGN - FIRST VERSION - COMMENT! - Master Shake - 06-06-2008 I vote for flash, flash is real easy and anyone can do it. Great layout though Joel. Looks awesome! Also wondering, what exactly has to be sliced and diced. All you have to do is through some layers on top and you can just type in whatever you want. Re: OUR WEBSITE DESIGN - FIRST VERSION - COMMENT! - cannedpeahes - 06-06-2008 The page looks incredible. I wouldn't want to use the same template for all pages on the site, though. What did you do to get the bottom border on that picture? Re: OUR WEBSITE DESIGN - FIRST VERSION - COMMENT! - WTF Joel - 06-10-2008 Interesting o.o on a side note I'd like to say I been brainstorming for a template that is less tf2 specific o.o Re: OUR WEBSITE DESIGN - FIRST VERSION - COMMENT! - CaffeinePowered - 06-10-2008 (06-10-2008, 01:34 AM)J-Master link Wrote: Seeing as no one was doing anything.... http://ctclollipop.com/brb,u/brbu.htm Let me know... This looks good for a start, however its missing some things For one, its missing the vertical gametracker bars with the server info on them, next, I don't know how you are posting the news, but it should be something that is parsing a the forums. I would create a separate forum called 'news' that administrators can post in and whenever a new post was made it would get picked up by the webpage and put on front. See cc2's for an example of what our front page should basically look like, joel did that one too. Re: OUR WEBSITE DESIGN - FIRST VERSION - COMMENT! - Surf314 - 06-10-2008 I can write the copy ;D, it was what I sort of went to school for. Re: OUR WEBSITE DESIGN - FIRST VERSION - COMMENT! - Master Shake - 06-10-2008 It looks like the cc2iscool page front doesn't actually do..."a separate forum called 'news' that administrators can post in and whenever a new post was made it would get picked up by the webpage and put on front." but I'm sure it's possible and somewhere more learned in websites can do it. I look later and see if it's easy enough then I'll give it a shot. The trackers I'll put on the side(left im assuming). As for ctclollipop.com thats my dads site that I made for him. He makes lollipops. |
