Crow - 06-26-2008 I've put a disturbing amount of thought into this already.  I have one of the few zombie defensible apartments off campus here (the entire university is... well it's a fucking snipers dream, assuming no one in your dorm infested you're set.) because I have a totally destructible staircase leading to my door.  But this is in a mall, still, Imma stick to the plan. 1. I already have the 12 gauge Remington Wingmaster sitting in my closet, I'd just need a large amount of shot. 2. Anything by Black Sabbath would do, but I think "Lord of this World" would be most fitting. 3. This has never really come into any of my plans.  Steven Colbert to report on my victory? Re: ZOMBIES ARE ATTACKING! - Greatbacon - 06-26-2008 1.) Swords don't run out of ammo. 2.) VNV Nation - Honour 3.) White Mage from FF1 Re: ZOMBIES ARE ATTACKING! - Yomanz - 06-26-2008 1. A 12 gauge pump action shotgun. Classic anti-zombie weapon. 2. I must second dave and go with "Down with the Sickness" by disturbed.  ;D 3. Hmm...i honestly dunno anyone famous who i would want to fight alongside me. But if i can substitute the "fame" factor with "more than one person" i'd say two of my good friends. Between us we have enough weapons to wage world war 3 (One of my friends is the heir to a gun store which will serve as our personal armory/fortress, not to mention weapons we already personally own). I also forgot to mention that we've spent countless hours coming up with plans for the inevitable zombie infestation. I could talk for hours about these plans but i'll refrain from doing so. Nonetheless, i think it's safe to say that we WILL be prepared.  Re: ZOMBIES ARE ATTACKING! - A. Crow - 06-26-2008 (06-26-2008, 12:40 AM)Yomanz link Wrote: 1. A 12 gauge pump action shotgun. While your music choice is solid, I still must emphasize the awe in which I just listened to Lord of this World in a zombie apocalypse context. I also applaud your forward thinking and preparedness for already having a zombie apocalypse plan on the books. I'd also like to take this opportunity to rag on the "bladed weapon X" people. A zombification inducing pathogen would most likely be blood borne, do you really want to be close enough to engage in honorable combat? Shotguns would at least direct the majority of the spray out radially from you. Re: ZOMBIES ARE ATTACKING! - Vandamguy - 06-26-2008 1: Belmont family whip , requires no explaination. shame on the rest of you for not thinking of it. 2: Children of bodom - triple corpse hammerblow. 3: McGuyver.
I dunno, i'd probably use my katana along with the shotgun, but only if i didn't have the time to reload my shotty. Also whenever i'd have a break from fighting, i'd be sure to sharpen my katana so that it couldn't get stuck in a zombie so as to avoid the problem tragic was talking about. Even if your not strong, keeping the blade sharp would make up for that. As for skill...well it's hard to say. Against one zombie it wouldn't matter too much. Against more, you'd better hope that you have some experience with a blade. At any rate, close combat with a zombie is normally something you'd want to avoid if at all possible. :o Re: ZOMBIES ARE ATTACKING! - Tragic Hero - 06-26-2008 (06-26-2008, 08:35 PM)NiceGuy link Wrote:
While your music choice is solid, I still must emphasize the awe in which I just listened to Lord of this World in a zombie apocalypse context. I also applaud your forward thinking and preparedness for already having a zombie apocalypse plan on the books. Anyways, valid point on the speed of the sledge. Might have to change mine to a War Mace or something like that. And 28 days later it wasn't zombies. Those were infected people. Yeah I know they could be considered the same thing but I believe we are talking about the slow, shambling type. If any of us were stuck in a mall full of 28 days later infected humans I don't think anyone would have a chance. Even with Iron Mans suit. We have a pessimist among us. I had 3 years of USMC influence from high school + the Naval Science minor in college, I believe that I'll survive through superior planning/tactics/force no matter the situation, it's been drilled into my psyche. In the event of "fast movers" I'd require A) Riot gear & shield B) The Mobility Denial System in concert with my shotgun. Also, do pornstars count as acceptable answers for part 3? |
