I watched that intro and was IMMEDIATELY reminded of sailure moon. Also: Why would you link to the textless T_T.

Re: Anime Thread: Continuation - Luinbariel - 07-26-2008

I didn't think anyone would care too much...

It's a huge rip off of Sailor Moon, that's why it's so funny. Actually a play on MANY anime series.

wait, that wasn't sailor moon?

Darker than Black Opening 1 it's one of my favorites now.

Also, ignoring the obvious: FMA, Cowboy Bebop, FLCL, Samurai Champloo.

Outlaw Star
Blood+ opening 1
For something a bit lighter, Eureka 7 ending 2

If it's done by BONES, which I think it is, It'll get watched eventually.

also, não is Portuguese for 'no' so I always have to pause a bit when I see it.

Re: Anime Thread: Continuation - Surf314 - 07-26-2008

Isnt BONES the all female group that does surprisingly disturbing stuff like X.

Also watching Death Note now and it is rather good.

Re: Anime Thread: Continuation - A. Crow - 07-26-2008

no, they're not an all female studio.

Darker than Black has Super Awesome Death Note Parody Scene for Great Justice.

Who the hell am I thinking of them, I could have sworn that I read about this all female studio that does crazy ass shit you wouldn't expect from an all female studio.

Re: Anime Thread: Continuation - A. Crow - 08-28-2008

Kino's Journey and .Hack//Sign have both been sacrificed to the insatiable anime appetite of crow.  If anyone has some ...ERH HERM... .hack Manga scanslikenesses, I'm interested.

Kino's Journey was almost surreal in it's presentation of parable like episodes.

Re: Anime Thread: Continuation - Luinbariel - 08-28-2008

Clamp is an all female studio, known for stuff like X/1999, as well as some cuter stuff like Card Captor Sakura.

Newer titles include Tsubasa and XXXHolic

Re: Anime Thread: Continuation - copulatingduck - 08-29-2008

Yakitate is fucking epic.

Re: Anime Thread: Continuation - Squishy3 - 08-29-2008

I started watching Fighting Spirit at work earlier today, and I have to say it's pretty sweet. It's an older one, but I'm loving it so far.

Very yes, and I learned a lot. Good choice.

Re: Anime Thread: Continuation - Squishy3 - 09-07-2008

holy shit update on fighting spirit. one of the best fighting animes I've ever watched, and insanely funny at times to boot. The matches in it are really intense, and the nice thing is they're not retarded powerful, it's just boxing. everything done in it is something anybody with enough training can do, and it has me playing wii boxing again (shut up only thing I have close to real boxing, there isn't a boxing gym around here Sad)

Re: Anime Thread: Continuation - copulatingduck - 04-18-2009

Back on topic, just watched Parallel Works TTGL stuff. Basically it's little 5 minute shorts of the main characters from TTGL in alternate universes and it's fuckawesome.

Re: Anime Thread: Continuation - Wedge - 04-18-2009

Watching GAGAGAGAGAGAGAGAO-GAI-GAR which is old school and bad-ass and makes me cry with it's awesomeness.

Also downloading Soul Eater and saw the first episode and like the action but don't know if I'll be able to tolerate the incessant animu cuteness.  Give it a chance at least tho.

Watched the first series of Hajime no Ippo a while back and it was awesome too.  Probably gonna just wait till the second series is over to watch that one though (I like being able to watch an episode or more a day, so I don't watch shows in progress).
