It doesn't matter where you live; even in a city covered in snow for months at a time, even for people who have witnessed this and driven in these conditions for years, the moment the first flakes start to fall everyone instantly forgets how to drive.

Indeed... Like I said many times on IRC... I don't have a drivers license yet... Haven't really had the need for it. Thinking of getting it this year just to get it before it gets even more expensive but the cycle and sometimes public transportation has worked out great for me so far.

Gladly. I live in North Carolina. It's very unfair to transplant a southern Canadian into the American Southeast and expect it to be happy when winter rolls around.
If you think people flip out up North... here, civilization comes to a screeching halt for sleet.

When we were in Austin for the summer we had a very near miss... some stupid chick in an SUV was driving quite agressively, and then it started to rain; she careened right in front of us and we JUST missed her before she rolled over into the ditch.
