Re: Art - at0m - 06-09-2011 I _really_ hope they didn't ding you for misspelling 'manual', because it looks pretty freaking cool. And KorJax does have a better ring to it, but Sam Hayward sounds like the protagonist from a cheesy scifi movie. This is not a bad thing. Funny thing is during my show we had to "interview" with 3 random design professionals in the area that we were assigned to, who were at the show. Basically just show off our stuff professionally. 2 out of 3 people I interviewed with didn't really get my portfolio or care for it at all, one was some lady who does websites for reynolds and reynolds and the other one worked for a print company with a design background :p So apparently my work is too faux pas for "real" world designers, which suits me fine. I like my geeky edge and I'd rather do stuff involving that edge (preferably game design since I'm just doing this stuff as a degree) than work for some design ad agency. Re: Re: Art - at0m - 06-21-2011 STEAMPUNK ROBOT TITTIES Re: Art - kaese - 06-21-2011 Oh an art thread, how did I miss it. I've become terrible at drawing so all I do these days is take photos. And call them art. I also used to sculpt and paint a lot. I still paint occasionally but it takes so long to finish a piece. Some recent photos: Final project for a ceramics class: A common occurrence between me and painting (work in progress for a year now lol): I also have a lot more photos and embarrassing drawings at my deviantart. LOL. What was I thinking. Re: Art - Star Knight - 06-21-2011 Wow, some awesome work in this thread. Seeing John's work reminded me of my modding days, when I worked on a Star Trek mod for a crappy game. I worked on porting ships models over to the game, I remember having fun working with some pretty nice(and some douchebag) guys. I found one of my first models. Judging by the date, it's a little over two years old(by 11 days). Found a schematic on some website by a guy and I just took a liking to it. The ship is named the U.S.S. Tokyo, Tokyo class(after it's schematics.) The render is meh, the 'engine' is a stolen part from another modeler at the time, and the model is two years old. I don't have working copy of 3ds Max on this comp, so I found a pic in my photobucket. I later redid the dish and the 'engine' I believe. There are a few things I later learned that I could optimize the model now, but... U.S.S. Tokyo U.S.S. Tokyo(textures-stolen to fit theme of other modeler in the mod) Ironically I took a liking to anime a year AFTER I made this thing. Would of posted just the ship, but it needed some background info. TL;DR Look at mah space shipeh Re: Art - Reevesith - 06-23-2011 Going through her mind "I love this beach, the sun feels like a nice back rub" Going through the cat's mind " Now they have water pantie!? Grrr!" The cat thinks panties are evil.. & have garden gnomes working for them.. Re: Art - Didzo - 06-23-2011 I sometimes wonder what it's like to be in your head Reeves.
