Batman gets my respect, he's my favorite DC character. But there's something awesome about a man so badass he doesn't even have a real weapon, just a shield. That, and he's like the one actual good guy in Marvel canon in my eye. Everyone else either got punished for their actions to be where they are now (Spiderman, Thor) or they are still partial jerks (Iron Man, Wolverine.) Cap just loved the American dream enough that he was willing to do anything to serve it. That, and the civil war arc just reinforced my views.
Well, that's enough comic nerd Merc for one post.
