Undergrad competitions like iGEM and whatever you're in usually never work, because you're dealing with a bunch of people who don't know what they're doing (the undergrads), while being advised by people who sorta/kinda/don't really know what they're doing (the grad students), topped off by someone who doesn't know what they're doing and doesn't care (the faculty).

also you don't go to harvard or cambridge, so you automatically lose Sad

How does this work, you only coming up for the weekend? Or is work only paying for certain days or something? Because staying near DCA is going to be expensive as hell, but if you can get up to Baltimore you can crash with me for free.

yeah actually the rain is keeping the temp semi reasonable.  in the mornings.

Unfortunately its gonna let the plants recover, which means those fucking grasshoppers will still have food for a few more weeks until drought conditions return.  They're in the labs, in restaurants, and under my bare foot a couple mornings ago >Sad
