Re: Heavy Updates... Next Week? - 1Trace1 - 08-15-2008 It looks interesting to me. I'll reserve my judgment till I actually get my hands on the new weapons. Re: Heavy Updates... Next Week? - zaneyard - 08-15-2008 KGB+Natascha useful combo? besides, i like to use all the unlocks regardless of how sucky everyone else thinks they are, none have been bad enough to me to the point of me not wanting to use them. Re: Heavy Updates... Next Week? - Dave - 08-15-2008 also, how cool does the forest enviroment look in the background? Re: Heavy Updates... Re: Heavy Updates... Next Week? - Wedge - 08-15-2008 Making them more viable against other classes would mean a weaker damage gun with reduced/none spinup/movement penalties I'd think. Or maybe something with knockback to fuck up the aim of demo/soliders? The only thing that sounds interesting about this gun is how it would work to messup players at long range. It'd be kind of funny to spray it on a crowd and have them stutter all over the place. Also interesting the highest tier Heavy weapon will be a secondary... still want to see what that is. And no, I don't think it's a sandwich, that's more likely a new taunt. Re: Heavy Updates... If its spin-up and spin-down times were 50% faster *THEN* we'd be talking Re: Heavy Updates... Next Week? - Eschatos - 08-15-2008 I'm sure Natascha will have it's uses, but I doubt the majority of players will use it. Re: Heavy Updates... A slower run speed makes it easier for anyone to kill a target. Don't think about what benefits you..think about what benefits the team. Re: Heavy Updates... Oh well, Bad Water and the KGB are awesome. Re: Heavy Updates... Next Week? - Squishy3 - 08-15-2008 I see a couple uses for this already. Heavy with Natascha working in combination with a spy to take out a sentry, spy goes into sap it and the heavy hits the engineer so he can't get to it in time. Not the most practical, but it's one use for it. Heavy with Natasha starts firing at a clump of enemies while a pyro sneaks around behind and catches them all on fire and they can't run away from your flames or get to a health pack in time. Just a couple uses. I'm sure we can find some more use for it when we actually get it. Until then complain all we want. Re: Heavy Updates... Next Week? - [fr31ns]Karrde - 08-15-2008 Personally, I'd find myself using Nastacha more, I think. I think my Heavy combo will prolly be KGB, Natascha and shotty. This is of course assuming sandvich means no secondary weapon. I don't like not having a secondary gun for more ranged shots/quick shots. Re: Heavy Updates... Next Week? - Fail Medic - 08-15-2008 Just brainstorming... A Heavy slowing an intel carrier on Mach 4 that didn't go downstairs. Spraying a Pyro climbing the ramps to Point C on Gravel Pit from spawn. Artificially extending the distance one has to travel to slap the cart to stop the rollback countdown. A Nastacha Heavy + Sasha Heavy receiving simultaneous ubers: "Uber coming in, back off--crap, nevermind." If a Pyro charges a Heavy with this and the Heavy whirls around on a warning, that Pyro's speed and ability to circle-strafe is weakened. I really can't defend against Duck's Soldier / Demo comment. A Soldier clipped by Nastacha might get reduced distance on rocket jumps...? There's that mysterious "broken sticky" achievement icon. It's a bit late for this and unnecessary, but I wish the Heavy could shoot Soldier rockets down with enough minigun fire. Re: Heavy Updates... Next Week? - Squishy3 - 08-15-2008 ooh, another possibility. Maybe Natascha slows people down even when they're ubered? There's a lot more uses for it than we're really thinking right now. And it's all preference too. Re: Heavy Updates... Next Week? - Fail Medic - 08-15-2008 (08-15-2008, 07:40 PM)Squishy3 link Wrote: ooh, another possibility. You know, I was thinking that but I didn't put it because I thought, "Well, uber means invincible, so oh well," but they say (lol, rules lawyering ahead) "100% chance to slow target ON HIT." On Hit, not on Damage. When you strike an Ubered target, you hear the "ricochet" sound effect, but those are hits. ... Ohhhhhhhh, we might have something heeeere... |
