Just the way Bethesda used it wasn't the best. Look at Catherine, that was built on Gamebryo and looks better than the Fallouts and Oblivion, etc. did. Not to mention it doesn't even have anywhere near as many glitches as those games did. [/quote] I just dont think the engine was optimized at all for open world gameplay. It seems to really excell when used for console adventure games or "packaged experiences", but the only game series I know of that uses gamebryo for an open ended game is Fallout/ES, and it definatly feels and looks like a hack-job for them to get it to work for that. Re: TES V: Skyrim - Storm - 08-16-2011 if you dont like these games dont post in this thread TES games have always been considered 'top shelf' adventure/RP games yes they did have glitches here and there but nothing too bad that didnt make it playable Re: TES V: Skyrim - Hobospartan - 08-16-2011 Yeah, it wasn't glitches that made Oblivion unplayable, it was the shitty level scaling. Re: TES V: Skyrim - backfire - 08-16-2011 The glitchy engine really is what gave this and fallout its charm though. Personally I think it's adorable when I look over and see this rock with arms trying to shoot at me. I kinda agree, it gives you a nice break from srs mode in fallout. *Killing legion* *Killing legion* *Killing legion* *Half exploded torso fires a rocket from his crotch in vats mode, killing me* *Giggle* *Reload* *Killing legion* Re: TES V: Skyrim - Sogo - 08-26-2011 Well, due to my constant being on the TES nexus, I have a bit of info about Skyrim, turns out it's one of the more pregressive provinces in Tamriel; "Earlier, Pete Hines (the Vice President of Bethesdaâs PR department), stated on Twitter that same-sex marriage will be allowed in Skyrim. He responded to someone who called the topic âhush hushâ by saying QUOTE Not hush hush, just not making a huge deal out of it. You can marry anyone. He later clarified his previous tweet by posting QUOTE Sorry, should clarify. Not any NPC, just mean any male or female. Doesn't matter what you're playing. It appears that Skyrim is taking after games like Dragon Age and Fable, where same-sex marriages/relationships have always been allowed."(taken from TESnexus). Also, Ive got some screenshots of race examples, which seem to be a big improvement for the most part(beards/tattoos). http://www.bethblog.com/index.php/2011/08/24/the-races-and-faces-of-skyrim/ Anyone else wanna make Mel Gibson from Braveheart now?
