Yeah I didn't see that one coming.  I gave Croatia too little credit.  Unfortunately Poland tied Austria.

GO SWEDEN!

I'm not, germany can go fuck themselves... but I'd rather have us kick them out of the cup. (Germany and The Netherlands always have been football rivals FYI)

Croatia have been a decent team since 04, their manager is a genious.

Such a wonderful game for the Netherlands.  I can't believe it, and they are locked into the quarter finals.  Coming from Danish stock, i give you guys all the love i can Ainmosni.

The best thing is seeing a crowd full of orange, it all looks like empty seats until they burst into a torrent of cheers.

Now this is a scary situation.  Italy needs to beat France and Romania can't win.  Normally I wouldn't worry about Romania winning but with Netherlands winning first in the group and having the opportunity to keep France and Italy out of the Eurocup they could let the game go in Romania's favor.  Hopefully Netherlands isn't the kind of team to do that but i've heard of teams doing such things before.

It's not our style... but don't be surprised if all our top players will be benched next match because we're through to the next round anyway... Time to rest...

Oh and 4-1 mwahahahahahahahahhahahahaahahah

All I ask is that Netherlands at least tie.  I'll cry if Romania wins.  Plus, Spain wins again!  What an excellent game Spain versus Sweden turned out to be.

Re: Who's ready for some Eurocup? - Tragic Hero - 06-15-2008

Wow...did anyone else manage to see Turkey come back against the Czech Republic?

Didn't see it but I've been hearing turks drive around the city sounding their horns for a few hours...

Re: Who's ready for some Eurocup? - Tragic Hero - 06-17-2008

HAHAH!  Italy makes it to the next round.  Take that nonbelievers!

But its going to be a tough time against Spain since Pirlo and Gattuso are suspended for one game.

Re: Who's ready for some Eurocup? - Ianki - 06-18-2008

Russia came from nowhere.

I would have liked to see a Sweden/netherlands match-up if only to see a battle of the blonds and at least one Scandinavian presence in the quarter finals.

Also, spain makes for yet another 3W record going into the knock out rounds after a lucky, and very pretty, goal.  Tough matches coming up for everyone involved.

Re: Who's ready for some Eurocup? - ainmosni - 06-18-2008

Well. this will be quite interesting, we have made it to the quarter finals without losing a point... Now I'm hoping this team still has energy left to win the whole tournament...

Re: Who's ready for some Eurocup? - Tragic Hero - 06-18-2008

You know they do.  First round shouldn't be a problem for Netherlands or Portugual.  But watch out for those Turks!  And the Italians of course Smile

I agree.  Even if Germany plays strong I don't see them stopping Portugal.  They are out for blood this time around.
