Re: Anime Thread: Continuation - Vlambo - 04-18-2009

I'm about a 1/3 into Trigun, then have Outlaw Star, Cowboy Bebop and Full Metal Alchemist lined up after in that order

Re: Anime Thread: Continuation - Wedge - 04-18-2009

Jeese, you have a lot to catch up on.  Also I don't think FMA is worth it, they could have gotten that series done in half the episodes they made.

Re: Anime Thread: Continuation - Luinbariel - 04-18-2009

Yeah I couldn't get into FMA, in all honesty.

I'm really bad about binging when I watch anime. I go months without watching any, and then I watch 3 entire series in a weekend. :X

I rewatched all of trigun last weekend.  It's one of the better ones.  It gets darker and darker every episode until it's just depressing.

Re: Anime Thread: Continuation - Benito Mussolini - 04-19-2009

I need one to watch.

Someone give me something good that isn't Cowboy Bebop, Code Geass, Ghost in the Shell, Higurashi, Basilisk, Death Note, Dennou Coil, Elfen Lied, Ergo Proxy, FMA, Samurai X, Naruto (...), Bleach (...), or Trinity Blood now.

I didn't like Code Geass that much. I felt like there were too many plot twists. It's alright when something unexpected happens once in a while, but it happened twice per episode.
See: SFX in the late Star Wars.

Well you didn't put TTGL in that list, so I'm going to have to assume you haven't seen it?

Oh god... mechas?

It's the second reason I thought Code Geass wasn't that great, and if I wanted to watch mechas, I'd watch the fucktons of Gundams there are.

But I've heard GL is good, so I'll give it a try.

Re: Anime Thread: Continuation - Evil Cheese - 04-19-2009

Have you guys seen any of the new shows from this season? Right now I'm kinda digging Eden of the East and Pandora Hearts. Sengoku Basara is supposed to be pretty good as well. There's also my guilty pleasure of this season, Hayate no Gotoku!!, but I'm going to leave it at that.

I don't watch in season anime, etc etc, but I will definitely be wanting to check out Sengoku Basara eventually.

Re: Anime Thread: Continuation - Honest - 04-19-2009

TTGL is too awesome to be ruined by lolmechas. Also Hajime No Ippo. Go watch that or Squishy and I will...well see my avatar there? Kind of like that.

Also Baccano came to mind. Watch that.

Re: Anime Thread: Continuation - Squishy3 - 04-19-2009

Baccano is fucking amazing too.

Also, Sengoku no Basara is awesome, and if you like fighting games check out Sengoku Basara X or Sengoku Basara 2 for the PS2 (Basara X somewhat works on PCSX2, Basara 2 is playable)

Also, greatly enjoyed Eden of the East episode 1. That was awesome.

That is all.

Best. Series. Ever.

Doesn't fall into the same plot trappings many other good anime's fall into, that is persistence of spirit and unspoken love will get you through the largest of obstacles.  Some people think the plotting is strange, but the series is about the loss of humanity in the burgeoning electronic world, so the theme can mess with reality and linearity a tad.

Looks like someone is relying on Adult Swim for their anime.  Not that its a bad thing to do so.  All those anime are badass anyways.

Especially Tri-Gun.

Negatory. I just haven't been following up on my animes. I've been watching House, the office, Metalocalypse all in random intervals, the last series I really watched was Code Geass bout 5 months ago. I have all of em downloaded and waiting to be played

He's got some catching up to do.

Have I recommended Kino's Journey to everyone before?
