Yeah, I made the mistake of getting the Machine Gun on my first playthrough. Being able to boost with it is nice, but the second booster you can get totally makes up for that. The Spur is  a beast.

Blade Level 2 (not 3) is the best weapon in the game in terms of damage output/per second, and as such is fantastic against bosses (just get in close and start spamming it as fast as you can,) so I'd go with it. Nemesis is great in it's own right, but your gonna need all the help you can get.

Personally I prefer the blade, but most of the speedruns of Hell I've seen use nemesis as their primary weapon.

Same here.

It's a good port, though.  Not digging on the new music too much, but you can set it back to the old.  Also, ProTip: Turn down the Sound FX volume immediately,  It is set on "deafening" by default.

Was gunna say huzzah in big red letters, but then I realized the size tags broke.

Can't wait to pick this up. Gotta wait until thrusday when I actually have some money, but then I'm diving right into a hard run. Can't wait to go insane playing through Hell at hard difficulty.

I had a points card I bought two years ago for this game. It got delayed bunches, but the card sat under my monitor the whole time.

Explains why the music in the Egg Corridor was pathetically void of any rhythm.
