What's improved about it that would make someone want to buy it instead of playing it for free?

*shrugs* Check the WiiWare version.

I want the new levels and boss rush mode and stuff, but I hope they keep a way to play with the old graphics on, because the new ones are just plain bad.

New graphics were 'alright'. The new music was absolutely awful though.

Re: Insert PC Game News Here - Squishy3 - 09-09-2011

The Wiiware music was awful because between being delivered from the studio to Nintendo to upload to Wiiware, somehow the drum track got removed and it just never got fixed because Nintendo doesn't care enough or something. The + version adds everything from the Wiiware version, as well as new graphics and another level. I just hope this shit's in the 3DS version, because if it isn't there's no reason to buy it when you can get a superior version for cheaper on PC.

Re: Insert PC Game News Here - Maxon - 09-20-2011

After KAOS studios went down, I never expected to see this happen...

http://www.destructoid.com/crytek-to-develop-homefront-sequel-211851.phtml

After playing Homefront, I was so pissed at it, that I was determined to not buy the sequel if they actually had the chance to make one.  Now with a new and better company on it, there might be a chance a sequel could be tolerable.  We'll have to see, cause now I'm more wary about it, but it's a game that certainly has potential if they actually do it right.  The multiplayer was more playable than most till they let it go to shit and the first mission in singleplayer had a good start, but then just got worse and worse and more generic as the game went...

Also, please Crytek, don't make a 4 hour campaign with a really shitty cliffhanger this time.  Put some actual work into it, unlike KAOS.

Re: Insert PC Game News Here - Versus - 09-20-2011

homefront mp was cool even before the much, much needed sniper nerf

i never bothered to finish the first sp mission, as far as i'm concerned it never existed

Re: Insert PC Game News Here - Maxon - 09-20-2011

The first area was the only good one in the game.  MP I could like.  It was more entertaining than CoD, but less than Battlefield, once they patched a few things, but then it just devolved into hacker hell.  I was constantly finding bad servers and then the company went under, so I can't imagine it's any more stable.

why would anyone open fire on a naked woman? Even one that's running like a freak of nature?

Re: Insert PC Game News Here - Spore - 10-08-2011

Sonic Generations Preorder has officially shown up in the Steam registry, so expect it to come alongside the console versions for sure now.

Picking this over BF3. It also showed up on direct2drive for about $30.

Re: Insert PC Game News Here - Squishy3 - 10-16-2011

fuck i might have to buy it if it's only going to be $30

Really liked this game on the GCN. Now if they could get Adam West back this would be a Day 1 purchase.

Re: Insert PC Game News Here - Spore - 10-18-2011

If bought on Steam, it looks like Arkham City will be Steamworks, complete with achievements and cloud saves. If you own Lego Batman or Arkham Asylum, it's also 20 percent off which is neat.

Re: Insert PC Game News Here - backfire - 11-03-2011

So Saints Row The Third on the PC is said much better than SR2's port. They're developing it in house and giving it the proper attention and whatnot. They also confirmed it's gunna have a video editor ala GTA4. After messing around character editor, I got this on my wishlist.

I'm gunna take a walk downtown tomorrow punching over trashcans for coins so I can afford this :-\
