One thing I never understood about us USAians is why we call football soccer and American football football. It's really retarded.

I love Neil deGrasse Tyson's explanation for why Nova Science Now doesn't give units in Metric is because the people that know metric aren't the ones that really need the show.

i wish i made them rue the day but i was tired, and it seemed like the manager knew because i didnt really say what was wrong about it and he just took the burger in and was like "yeah here's a new one and we also threw in an apple pie"
the second burger was way way better though for sure
also normally i am really pissy with customer service but it did look like that manager was having a bad day so i was lenient

mother decided we weren't going away to the lake, then decided we were going away. a week before. aka not enough time to get off of work. least no one was there currently.
workwise- one day i was asked to clean 2 wet paint line machines (for like baseball fields and football fields and such). with warm soapy water and steel wool. fun fact, steel wool goes to hell really fast if in contact with warm soapy water. took 4 hours total for the both of them.
also i cut my finger open today it hurts.

I made it to the top of Pikes Peak. I spend five minutes in the gift shop only to walk outside to find that the temperature dropped eighteen degrees to zero and it's hailing. The cloud cover was so thick that my GPS couldn't get a signal and I proceeded to walk around looking for the geocaches which was the main reason to go up there in the first place. I was also wearing a tshirt and shorts.
After the peak was hit with lightening, the ranger commanded us to leave. Had to drive the next three miles on sheet ice.

The peak is about 100 meters wide. It was basically like playing Russian roulette with the sky.
