Oh please. Since when do you care about peer pressure? Shit, I've been to 3 Ren Fens from Lancaster PA to Boston MA, and had a cousin heavily into SCA who made his own chain mail. Go try it.
It's still dorky, still smells of BO, and still full of awkward males. Just like any anime-con, comic-con, trekkie-fest, and not really all that different from Harley clubs, autocross clubs, or chess clubs. As Honest has said before, life's like a bowl of dorks.

Meh, I still don't have the money or skills to do it the justice I'd like to. Thankfully I know this group has a few females, but I suppose I'm not all that great at making new friends in general.
