Pretty much what pie said. If the police ask to talk to you, politely yet firmly tell them that you want to cooperate but you wish to consult with legal counsel first. Any statements you make should be through the attorney.

Keep strong man, and you'll get through it. Talking about it with close friends/family helps a lot, just let your feelings out the best way through things like this is surrounding yourself with caring individuals and time.

I hope that the fucking policeman goes to jail for what he's done.
Trigger happy cops shouldn't be on the force in the first place.
If I were you, go to your school's counseling and talk to them. There's no shame in talking to someone about your feelings especially if it's confidential.

This is probably the worst thing I've ever heard. It shouldn't have happened to your family, but I guess bad things happen to good people. I'm not sure what I would do if this happened to me. Given your ability to think rationally, you're stronger than I.
