There really isn't much to it. The manual explains what you need to know to play, the rest is working on good strategies and such.

Have they gotten the connectivity issues worked out? I've only played one skirmish on my PC, but I'd be interested to know if we're actually going to get this to work ;o

There is supposedly a patch that is coming out soon if it hasn't already. Also if you look in their forums (don't know the exact topic), there are some tweaks you can do on your end that from what I can tell definitely help (assuming the update doesn't fix the same things).

I should be available for a match or two tonight before FNF. tbh I just really want them to put in team Pantheon which'd be more fun than just waiting for randoms to come and fill the other side's slots. Smile

<3 Unclean Beast.  I can get great DPS with only regular equipment.  Haven't played any others long enough to decide but Oak and Regulus are pretty kickass.

Now just to lower your settings a bit and fix your connection.

I should be able to easily max out my settings, but I lowered them to middle or so. It really does make a difference sadly. Also I'll try to find out from Aerox some tips to help your connection.

I really like Rook and Oak but I've only played them & Regulus so far. Haven't developed a playstyle so its hard to say, but I def. prefer the General-type demigods so far (and to a limited extent Rook because he can spawn buildings which are like minions that don't move).

Step 1: Open your router. Turn on ports 6073-6200.
Turn OFF multicast filtering.
If there is an option to turn off SPI Firewall, turn it off.

Step 2:
Go to the folder where Demigod is installed. Open the bin folder. Find impulsereactoroptions.exe. Open it.
Check "specify NAT port range", set the starting port to 6100 and the end port to 6200.

Step 3 (Optional):
Apparently there are some performance issues with onboard sound cards. If you don't have a dedicated soundcard, a lot of people are reporting big performance boosts by setting the sound quality to 'low' and turning off the reverb effect. (I have it on low, and I can't tell a difference between low and high anyway.)

Step 4:
MAKE SURE VERTICAL SYNC IS ON. Apparently one of the big performance killers, especially for people with good computers, is that leaving vertical sync off is making it pump out like 500 frames per second. If you notice your computer running especially hot/the fans going crazy when you play Demigod, this is why.

I just found an absurdly awesome UB build.  It completely ignores venom spit, but has insane amounts of health and regen.  Can own pretty much anything in a straight fight and prevent them from running away.
