Ballack and I agree with the hat eating sentiment, didn't expect portugal to lose, NL - DE final would be epic though, killing our rivals for the cup... Re: Who's ready for some Eurocup? - Ianki - 06-20-2008 ZOMG Turkey...... 118 minutes without a score in an incredibly hard fought game on both sides. Both teams each had their turn performing some fantastic offense, always against inpeciable defense or good keepers. Croatia thought they beat it, and turkey ties on the very last play in stoppage time, and dominate shoot out? WTF with turkey and their miracle wins. Amazing game. Re: Who's ready for some Eurocup? - Tragic Hero - 06-20-2008 Yeah those Turks ares scary people. I know I don't want Italy to face them in the championships. Re: Who's ready for some Eurocup? - cbre88x - 06-20-2008 That was a fantastic match. Croatia surprised me towards the end, but then they fell flat in the shootout. Re: Who's ready for some Eurocup? - Ianki - 06-20-2008 Yeah, i'm calling it right now that it'll be Netherlands V Turkey in the final round. Keep your hopes alive for sunday though tragic, you might prove me wrong yet. Re: Who's ready for some Eurocup? - Tragic Hero - 06-21-2008 My condolences go out to Ainmosni. The Netherlands couldn't keep the dream alive and they fell to Russia 3-1. Re: Who's ready for some Eurocup? - ainmosni - 06-22-2008 (06-21-2008, 05:12 PM)Tragic Hero link Wrote: My condolences go out to Ainmosni. The Netherlands couldn't keep the dream alive and they fell to Russia 3-1. Ah well, I've had the best night I've had in _long_ time last night, yah it sucks but no football match can ruin my mood after the laast 2 days... Also condoleances to tragic. Now it's time to KO, haven't slept for 34 hours Re: Who's ready for some Eurocup? - ZargonX - 06-22-2008 Spain wins it in PKs. Now they face Russia. I was actually rooting for Italy going into the match, but the bad reffing and some of Italy's play made me switch sides :p Re: Who's ready for some Eurocup? - Vandamguy - 06-22-2008 is it over yet ? Re: Who's ready for some Eurocup? - Ianki - 06-22-2008 I think i'll miss van nistelrooy the most :'( Also, todays match was awful, neither deserved to move on Re: Who's ready for some Eurocup? - Tragic Hero - 06-22-2008 Thats what happens when Italys B squad is playing. Pirlo and Gattuso being out hurt us, fucking Luca Toni is the biggest waste of space on the pitch and for Di Natale to be one of the best strikers in Serie A sure did take such a shitty PK. Plus the fact that Totti hates Donadoni so he decided not to play sure hurts Italy. With the bad refereeing (yes mainly towards Italy but overall) and Spain taking out Torres the game was practically Italys for the taking in PK. But Di Natale choked when Buffon gave his country a chance. I true crying shame. Maybe Russia will burn the goals down, making sure no one could win, just to get germany to leave :-) Re: Who's ready for some Eurocup? - Tragic Hero - 06-23-2008 (06-23-2008, 10:17 AM)Dave link Wrote:
bullshit the italians allways play like pricks, fucking defensive as ass then waiting for a break thats not football, thats tactical bullshit, you play the fucking game.
Sorry if they don't play English football where you sprint from one end to the other hoping to score a goal. I really don't understand what people have against being a defensive juggernaut. So Italy is supposed to give up on their defense so they could possibly score one more goal? When Italy has all their players they usually don't have trouble scoring in the first place with their free kick accuracy and ball handling. And I don't think the rest of world thinks like you to where they think "We have too much pride to stop people from scoring and worrying about defense." If the rest of the world could play defense as good as Italy they would. But they can't. |
