Well, I met him before I saw Dexter, so...
Once I'd seen the show though the likeness was too much and it pretty much killed any trust.

Yes, asphixiwank did kill a good chunk of trust as well.
It always seemed so stupid to me how she STAYED after that. I mean if you share that kink that's awesome, but I don't think she did. I'm pretty sure she was just so devoted she didn't know the difference.
However yes, Dexter was an awesome series. The whole second season had me pissed off until it ended, at which point it redeemed itself.
