Re: Rock Band - Vongore - 05-19-2009 2 Weeks ago we tried to beat the Infinite playlist, (where you have to play all 54 songs in a row) with some friends, we where on number 34 and a major blackout occurred. We haven't played the game since then Re: Rock Band - K2 - 05-19-2009 The day before Rock Band 2 came out, me and two of my friends went through the Endless Setlist all on Expert (guitar, bass, and drums). It took about 8 hours, including a dinner break, but we managed to get through it without ever failing a song. And then we played some more. And then the next day when I got RB2 we played that all day. Re: Rock Band - Luca Shoal - 05-19-2009 I still have 100 or so stars left before it's even unlocked for me. I'm working on Challenges for the "Ultimate" outfits. Punk is my current goal, playing Bass. Re: Rock Band - Riosan - 05-19-2009 tried endless setlist 2 on hard guitar/hard drums/expert bass. passed all until visions, where we couldn't get pass 20% fgsfds Re: Rock Band - Maxon - 05-20-2009 The punk outfit makes them look like bums or something lol I believe I have Punk and Rock done. And I downloaded the Alice Cooper stuff, 4 of them at least. Vengeance is Mine and School's Out have the toughest guitar work I believe. Billion Dollar Babies is alright and Under the Wheels was fun. Re: Rock Band - KarthXLR - 05-21-2009 Remind me, is RB2 for PS3? Re: Rock Band - K2 - 05-21-2009 (05-21-2009, 12:32 AM)Karth is SPY link Wrote: Remind me, is RB2 for PS3? Re: Rock Band - Maxon - 06-01-2009 Eh, wasn't impressed with The Beatles stuff and since I don't care for the band, it'll be something I'm passing on. Especially when GH5 comes out the same day and has songs I like And "meh" to your Pink Floyd...MEH I SAY! [/quote] I wouldn't be willing to call someone a hater for not liking Floyd or The Beatles. However, unless you only listen to rap and classical music, I think it's pretty likely that Floyd and/or The Beatles are a significant inspiration for some of the bands that do like. I'm not saying they are terrible bands and I know they are both huge, especially The Beatles, but just cause they are big, doesn't mean people are required to like them on status alone. I just never have been able to get into them very much at all. Pink Floyd especially. Too much psychedelic noise and nonsense and not enough music. Nowhere have I said that you should like them because just because they are or were popular. However, it's one thing to not like their sound, but I don't think you can attack Pink Floyd for lack of musicality (and especially not The Beatles). I'd like to know if you like any bands that demonstrated such command over a range of musical styles. I'm not saying Floyd that had the most range ever, but they showed more than enough range to earn their chops (e.g., Folk - Wish You Were Here, Orchestral Composition - Shine On You Crazy Diamond, Jazz - The Great Gig in the Sky, Blues - Seamus, and that is not touching their usual progressive / hard rock stuff). Back to the point, I don't think there are many contemporary rock banks that don't pay some homage to the Beatles or Floyd. If you know of some, name them. If not, I will sick Riosan on you. Re: Rock Band - Maxon - 06-01-2009 Well I wasn't attacking Pink Floyd at all. Just pointing out that some of their music likes to be on the weirder side. Pink Floyd: Interstellar Overdrive Like this. Two minutes of maybe music and then just wild stuff and then trancy stuff for the rest of the song. I know they have some more traditional type rock, but I haven't found many songs I've liked by them. I may listen to metal, but I also listen to Clapton, ZZ Top, BB King, Stevie Ray Vaughn, Led Zeppelin, etc... As for one song I can say I like by Floyd...Might be Comfortably Numb. It's abit slow, but ends strong. I'm pretty much saying that I don't hate Floyd or The Beatles and I'm not saying they weren't influential. Just haven't found many songs to get into much from either band. |
