If its just the screen that went out, and you're willing to buy a replacement screen but unsure of yourself on the labor, ship it to me and i'll fix it.

I didn't even consider this; I had assumed that the ultrabooks took more of a "non-user serviceable" design philosophy. It does look like there are replacement screens available for this model, so I'll get in touch with you in June.

Yep, and I've done it before on a normal laptop. Most of the big brands end up having repair info online; Dell and Toshiba in particular have communities that publish service manuals. Your main risk is voiding the warranty, but if they've already determined they won't fix it (they didn't offer to do it for a charge after saying it was not warranty?) then there's little risk.
"not user serviceable" does not mean "not serviceable". They had to put the thing together in a factory, you just have to do that in reverse. Unless they completely potted it with epoxy (generally not worth the expense/weight), you should be fine if it's in your comfort level. If it's not, there's always BRBu.

The utilities at the condo I live at are paid by the landlord, and they have literally the cheapest internet plan available. I think I'm going to email them to request them to switch and just pay the difference as part of my monthly rent.

I got a go fast tax today.
I guess I'm happy that I got a ticket now, instead of some other time. 200 bucks for 18 over is kinda ridiculous though.
