Obviously not my own work, but it really shows the beauty of nature (although E. coli would probably beg to differ, before it was infected and blown up Smile )

It seems like the smaller stuff is where you get the real "artwork" of nature, like with the structures of proteins, the DNA helix, snowflakes crystals...  The larger world can be so messy, but if you go small enough then everything has a certain elegance.

Re: Art - kaese - 05-12-2012

I started looking through my old sketchbook and found a 4 year old lineart of some dragon. I decided to color it in my bad watercolor as a study break. I also found a random lineart for a wolf dog thing.

Ok, last one before I go back to studying. This one will be sent to a friend from Tumblr. Derpy yugioh watercolors are my forte.

Re: Art - Vongore - 05-12-2012

haha, if i could find my old YGO art i would post it all over the internet. It was so bad.

During class i used to copy the art from some cards and badly draw the characters and create comics, I think I even made Yugi fight Hades from Saint Seiya.

Please share if you manage to stumble upon them! I, for one, would like to see more derp yugioh fanart.
I dug up one of my earliest "art projects" from I think 4th grade (so...2001-2002). It's a portrait of Yami Yugi and for some reason, I changed all the colors to a more psychedelic palette...and gave him lipstick. It's currently sitting on a shelf in my room, I'll scan it in or something tomorrow.

Edit: more accurate year of anime release

But the capsid is hardly icosahedral-derived.

Sad

It does look like the capsid has a cylindrical shape, kinda hard to tell, but some of those things sticking out from the capsid seem to be non-perpendicular to the central axis of the phage, which would mean it blah blah blah artistic license Tongue

Re: Art - Saxxy - 05-16-2012

crossposted from non-luz-but-interesting, since we were talking bout tats recently... (first fifteen minutes, there's some more scattered throughout too)
