I actually really liked Iron Man 2.  The key is low expectations.  They were low going into the 1st one, and I was pleasantly surprised.  Happened again this time.  I say they were pretty even, IMO.
I tried to contain my excitement, but I still got a little bit nitpicky. Still ended up enjoying it though, would give it another watch.

What were you nitpicking about?  I love debating this stuff, and am interested what you thought, Karth.

My only minor problems with it (that I can think of right now):
- Final confrontation was a bit lacking.  Ivan Vanko was an awesome character and villain, except in Whiplash-mode
- The blood toxicity angle should have had a stronger presence

The only person I can think of that looks anything remotely like Terrence Howard is Cuba Gooding Jr. and I don't want him in Iron Man.

Had the same nitpicks and thought the middle got pretty boring and dragged for a while. A few characters were almost not developed at all (such as scarlett johansen and Samuel L. Jackson) and pretty much didn't need to be there at all.

I wish I could've seen more of Mickey Rourke and Sam Rockwell, but they didn't get that much screentime together. The action scenes were, for the most part, enjoyable to watch, but they lacked that "WOW" factor from the first movie.

Other than that, the movie was a lot of fun.

I enjoyed the fact that they hinted more towards the avengers. I pray that Captain America and Thor are good, and dont flop like Spiderman and the Xmen

If marvel woulda taken more action towards those movies, I would probably have liked em more.

Marvel Studios did Spiderman 3 and none of the Xmen films. I felt like Iron  Man 2 did away with some of the swagger of the first film but was still decent. Would have like some more Sam Rockwell dancing and Scarlett Johansen doing anything in less clothing. Totally agree about the final fight sequence.

Re: The Movie Thread - Squishy3 - 05-09-2010

I like in some reviews complaining about Johansen wearing too tight clothing, and I really want to know how that's a bad thing...

Robin Hood | Spill.com Movie Reviews

Have to say, I'm a bit surprised.

Also, the original King Kong was pretty sweet.

Re: The Movie Thread - Wyrmidon - 05-16-2010

Bullet Ballet (trailer)

quite good, albeit a bit slow at times.

Re: The Movie Thread - KarthXLR - 05-17-2010

All the Presidents Men was really good.

Re: The Movie Thread - Black Aspen - 05-17-2010

I really liked Robin Hood (except for some of the outlandish shit at the end there, in the climax).  Saw it in a Montreal theatre, packed with francophones though...  That made all the french-bashing a little akward, haha.
