Special Ops is basically a challenge mode utilizing levels from the singleplayer into timed challenges to earn stars which unlock other challenges as you go. You can do it also with co-op with friends. I did a couple and it was alright, though multiplayer is just a blast. I've never really been into the standard arcady-but-"modern" CSS DM style mutliplayer though. America's Army was the only exception, but that was hardly CSS, it was more or less a smaller scale ArmA that's a bit less "hardcore" and with actual objectives to complete. Re: New Modern Warfare 2 Trailer - backfire - 11-10-2009 Battlefield: Bad Company 2 looking to catch MW2-jaded PC gamers on the rebound I dunno, but seeing this makes me feel warm and appreciated inside... I <3 EA. ...wait... WTF? Re: New Modern Warfare 2 Trailer - Maxon - 11-10-2009 Oh cool, a PC version of Bad Company 2. I'll have to consider which one to get then. And it's not like everyone really needs to make the choice between either game. Bad Company 2 is not gonna be out for another 4 or 5 months. Enough time between to end up playing both. But since I'm not sure if my friends back home will get this game, I think I'll end up getting the PC version to play with others I might know around here or on Steam. Re: New Modern Warfare 2 Trailer - Turtle - 11-10-2009 I bought MW2 for PS3 guilty pleasure Re: New Modern Warfare 2 Trailer - KorJax - 11-10-2009 I hear the online for PC isn't actually all that bad. The only thing that's a bummer is host migration but from what I hear somehow pings/netplay is rather smooth. Atleast from two people I've heard, who knows if they are the majority here. Re: New Modern Warfare 2 Trailer - Spore - 11-11-2009 Good thing we have IWNet now to curb all that hacking and make the game fair for everybody. The players not having kick/ban abilities help as well. Re: New Modern Warfare 2 Trailer - Maxon - 11-11-2009 Geez...Only a day and IWnet is already a failure. Re: New Modern Warfare 2 Trailer - Turtle - 11-11-2009 basically it's now $60 for a bitchin' singleplayer and a slap to the face Re: New Modern Warfare 2 Trailer - Eschatos - 11-11-2009 http://www.gamearena.com.au/pc/games/title/modern-warfare-2/reviews.php?id=5033868 Re: New Modern Warfare 2 Trailer - backfire - 11-11-2009 (11-11-2009, 02:22 PM)Caffeine link Wrote: [quote author=Spore link=topic=2964.msg122078#msg122078 date=1257966682] That took like what.......less than 24 hours? Re: New Modern Warfare 2 Trailer - Geoff - 11-11-2009 Got the game; it kind of wrecks major amounts of house.
