Can I have this play through my speakers when I get a kill? Re: Mechwarrior Online, a f2p mechwarrior game that isn't complete shit - Dtrain323i - 02-25-2015 So the Cicada CDA-3M can mount ECM, an XL 280 engine and has enough space to equip a gauss rifle with a ton and a half of ammo. I want to build this for a lol setup. Also if you want to watch a bad cartoon: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YqzEssjkMeU&list=PL75F702EFDD330A8D Re: Mechwarrior Online, a f2p mechwarrior game that isn't complete shit - HeK - 02-26-2015 I watched the shit out of that cartoon when I was young. I even had the massive toys, with arm explosion action. I also had the Bushwacker and the Summoner. Go go exploding crotch button action!! Re: Mechwarrior Online, a f2p mechwarrior game that isn't complete shit - Dtrain323i - 02-28-2015 Hek, how much would you charge to have you 3d print a dire wolf using the in-game model files? Re: - HeK - 02-28-2015 If you can extract the files for me and give me a size scale, I can run an estimate for materials. It's roughly $40 per kg. Keep in mind that prints are mostly hollow and have a honeycomb structure. Re: Mechwarrior Online, a f2p mechwarrior game that isn't complete shit - Surf314 - 02-28-2015 I really really really hate contest LRM strats. Re: Mechwarrior Online, a f2p mechwarrior game that isn't complete shit - [fr31ns]Karrde - 02-28-2015 I def wanna play more of this when I'm off my work weekend. Re: Mechwarrior Online, a f2p mechwarrior game that isn't complete shit - matter11 - 02-28-2015 I'm trying to get screencaps of my mech loadouts and it keeps coming up as a black rectangle. Does anyone know why? It's working fine capturing my desktop. Also did anyone else get a free cicada champion? Re: - at0m - 03-01-2015 I run it as a non-steam game and take screenshots with steam +F12 no problem. And No? Although I think one is a trial. I'd be interested to know how to get one though if it's more than that... Sent from my Nexus 5 using Tapatalk Re: Mechwarrior Online, a f2p mechwarrior game that isn't complete shit - Eightball - 03-01-2015 I also use steam overlay, works pretty well. In-house was fun, imo more fun than team queueing. I'm still working on being less shit with the centurion and atlas, but I'm starting to think AC/10 is a more responsible choice of big gun in general as compared to AC/20. It's not like I'm popping off limbs in one hit anyway... Worth noting that Steam compresses screenshots so you never get full-quality 1080p non-artifact pics (even when you select "save an uncompressed copy", it's a PNG with about 20% loss). :'( Probably doesn't matter either way, I just notice these things because I work with Photoshop on the regular... [/quote]Hmm, I don't think it's actually related to PNG, but rather whatever Steam is doing to render the screenshot. I don't know, either way, I've compared two screens taken from Steam and not, and there's definitely a difference... Steam's are coming up too sharp for whatever reason vs a direct screencap or in-game screenshots... but alas could be my stupid switchable graphics. ??? Re: Mechwarrior Online, a f2p mechwarrior game that isn't complete shit - matter11 - 03-01-2015 steam overlay worked so POST YO BUILDS + some blurbs http://imgur.com/a/y8UgR 1) Raven-3L I enjoy this build a lot, ECM + NARC gives good team support and the lasers offer acceptable annoyance damage. Enough to demand attention. It's slow for a light, only about 113 or so KPH and I get absolutely eaten up by firestarters. But if I'm left to my own devices I can make a huge impact with narcs and distant component carving. 2) Orion Protector (Hero mech) This is the build that needs the most work. Right now I'm using it as a durable poke sniper and it has perks for Gauss and energy. It doesn't really have enough hard points to be a push tank that can hang with timber wolves and the like. I'm still not sure what to do with it really. Swapping out for an XL engine doesn't do that much because the weight it frees up goes to waste due to slots being full. Advice/ideas would really be appreciated on this one. EDIT: http://i.imgur.com/s4whjGK.jpg 3) Battlemaster Hellslinger (Hero mech) This is the one I get the most consistent success with, partially if not largely because LRM boats are easy mode. The 4 MPL's+1 ML make it able to handle the inevitable boat-rushers quite well though. 4) Cicad-2A© (Champion) This mech literally just showed up in my inventory one day. I have no idea how or why and google wouldn't help me. This is the stock build it came with and it's pretty sweet, I wish the torso could turn faster though. Blazing fast for a medium at 135 KPH or something. Has medium laser buffs so I see no reason to change it. 5) Stormcrow-C I used to run this with AC/20 and a PPC but this performs much better. Focusing on mid range burst and flanks, its dps is solid. It could probably be fine tuned more but I wanna keep its AC/20. I love that thing. I'm saving up for a timberwolf right now so I can spearhead charges when we group queue. We always break off and want to pull a flank but we never have a heavy to tank. EDIT: Changed the orion http://i.imgur.com/s4whjGK.jpg, still want it to play differently. The reason I have the LL on the torso and not the arm is because the arms are miserably low mounted making it shitty for sniping.
