Re: moar random less stax plox - Gump - 08-01-2010

I'm only half teamstacker. I stack when there's a HUGE gap between scores and it's pretty obvious nothing can be done other than get slaughtered and that sucks.

Re: moar random less stax plox - MasterGH - 08-02-2010

I usually just auto and don't change unless there are too many players on my team. I personally don't mind being on the losing end, although if the other side steamrolls us more than a few times in a row I start to get bored.

Re: moar random less stax plox - Eightball - 08-02-2010

I'll admit, Liquid and I sometimes intentionally join the same team. Of course, it's to do things like medic chain or proburner or something else for comic effect. I'll sometimes join Scar's team or he'll join mine, but often that's a result of one of us calling the other from out of game because our team is failing too hard.

There are plenty of people in the community that are willing to switch from winning to losing teams in order to keep things balanced--myself included--if it's merited and people are genuinely keen on playing the game. I'm sure you guys know how pissed off I get when someone from the losing team switches over, especially if it's someone from our community (I'm not going to drop any names, but I've got a list of people who have done it). I'll usually switch over out of spite and try to make my old team lose.

It happens from time to time, but I don't think it's something widespread and in need of action.

Re: moar random less stax plox - Didzo - 08-02-2010

I sometimes go random.

I usually just pick the team with one slot open, which, more often than not, is the losing team.

Sometimes I pick the same team as a reliable medic buddy.

But I always friendstack. I always have friends on my team, even if I go random.

End friendstacking by unfriending each other, BRB.U.

It is the only solution.

Re: moar random less stax plox - beep beep diglett - 08-02-2010

i just pick the team based on what i want to do

if red has 608483488 scouts and i want to scout, ill join blu

if i want to defend, ill join red

im selfish like that

oh also dont teamstack guys 9 times out of 10 if one team is getting raped hard atleast 4 people leave, so uh dont do it

But the problem eightball isn't you or liquid, it's everyone who joins that team afterward because you're on it.  I admit you're one of the few admirable people who un-stack teams from time to time, and I respect that.

Maybe an unspoken rule could be if 3 regulars are MVP for 2 games straight, 2 people have to switch

That's just rage, I do it whenever we're getting wtfrolled because fucking getting rolled and killed every 10 seconds isn't fun, and I play TF2 for fun. Not even a question of skill, because I'm pretty decent.

Funny enough, I usually rage switch because the winning team is teamstacked.

yea i cant really blame anyone for rageswitching, playing against a massively stacked team is the opposite of fun

2 victories and the map changes? sounds like balanced teams to me...

Re: moar random less stax plox - Didzo - 08-03-2010

GUYS, I SAW TEAM STACKING TODAY.

ONE TEAM BEAT THE OTHER.

IT WAS TOTALLY UNFAIR HOW ONE TEAM ONE AND THE OTHER DIDN'T.

Re: moar random less stax plox - ribozyme - 08-03-2010

Glad to see other people have noticed this.  I agree that flat-out denying people the ability to choose which team they want to play on is the wrong way to go.  I applaud people who are willing to switch teams when they see they are really unbalanced and I think if more of us adapted this stance there would be fewer steamrolls, less rage, and less squabbling about the subject. Also, Kor is the reason I can sleep at night.

Re: moar random less stax plox - Turtle - 08-09-2010

Tonight

First round where the team didn't even get out of spawn

lasted longer than the next 3 rounds

That's because both teams were full of 'tards, stoners, and stoner 'tards.
