is the no respawn thing that much of a bad thing that arena brings out?
im sure the people that whine about that play on instant respawn and deathmatch servers...
i for one, like arena and felt that it brought out the team based play that is TEAM fortress too.

Glad to see Watchtower get the plug. I don't really enjoy playing on it, but it's definitely a quality map that well deserves the nod.

Make him waste a couple shots? Ok fine that point wasn't really valid unless you like, throw a few pyros for him to blow up first then charge in when he's out of ammo. As for a pipe to the face well...that's usually just dumb luck. And...my main point was that stickies shouldn't blow people up in one kill. >.>;

Agreed. Nothing should kill anyone in one hit, but crit's seem to not like that suggestion.

The way I see it, the Sandman will be just fine if the things that aren't mentioned in the update are like this:

1. Flaregun-style movement for the projectile
2. Limited number of baseballs (One to 3, ammo boxes replenish)
3. Reflectable
4. Doesn't stand still when he hits (Or there's some sort of speed bonus to the baseball's movement when he charges up?)
5. Cool new taunt
6. ? ? ? ?
7. PROFIT!

Watchtower and junction aren't bad choices at all, since people wont need to download it...could probably put junction on rotation

While Junction is a decent map for 6's (and imo a welcome shift from the usual lineup of soldiers/scoots), it can be spammy, even in 6's. I remember for a TFT or FNF way back when, we did a pickup on it with 12v12, and iirc the common complaint was "too small/spammy for this many people." I think both teams may have ended up with a full defense of C without much effort. Perhaps valve made some changes to improve the map, but short of anything drastic I would not hold out on this being viable for rotation.

While it's a decent map, I think it was a terrible choice on valve's part simply because the map is just so god-awful and painful with 24-32 players. I could be wrong, but that would be my guess.

Perhaps one more pickup is in order to see if it's worth it.
