i think it would help people distinguish between the servers, but not in a way that promotes superiority over the other
(I always feel weird seeding server 2 before 1)

How many people have "Steam names" that are completely different from their account names?  Mine is. 

Does Steam's allowance of flippant name changes warrant a static nickname you could affix to someone so no matter if he goes "CremeDeLaCutiePie@gamergrrlz.com", you'd still ID him on your Friends list without resorting to Alias check?
