Re: Favorite TV Shows - fyre - 03-13-2009 The second and fourth episodes were decent. The second one had the always adorable Matt Keeslar. Re: Favorite TV Shows - fyre - 03-13-2009 Anyone heard anything about Kings? It's supposed to premiere Sunday. It's the story of King David set in the modern day in an alternate universe. I need it to be good. There is so much potential. David is such a great character. They better not fuck it up. It has your favorite big breasted redhead in it too. Re: Favorite TV Shows - HeK - 03-17-2009 Bump for Castle. Check your local listings. It would be better if they would remove some of the soapy feel. Apparently it got shit ratings though, so it may not be around long. Also, Better off Ted premieres tonight I believe. It looks promising. [/quote] Honestly from the trailers, I think Kings looks pretty dumb, not that the old biblical story is bad, but whenever I hear about something being "remade" to be in a modern setting, my first thought is, 'could you not think of anything original?' Why is it that TV shows in general have been in decline the past 10 or so years, anything that comes out that is good for the most part gets canceled with in a year or two, to make room for more shitty reality shows. Re: Favorite TV Shows - Vongore - 03-18-2009 I'm now watching Life on Mars... It's fun, finally something different on cop series. I actually read an interesting (but depressing article) in the NY Times, about how that;s eventually going to become sole future of TV, since there cost to return ratio is so much better Re: Favorite TV Shows - fyre - 03-21-2009 Last night's Dollhouse was great. Even if you didn't like the first few episodes, you should definitely watch it. It's on a totally different level. Agreed. Last nights dollhouse was awesome. I didn't know patton oswald could actually act. Also, i love the admission that the dolls do keep parts of their imprints afterwords. I fucking hated the "oh she did a little thing the shows she remembers!" at the end of every episode. Also, the Kings premiere was awesome, hoping it keeps it up. Of course i just like the King David story after reading "God Knows" by Joseph Heller. Fucking great book. It was silly. Re: Favorite TV Shows - Squishy3 - 03-24-2009 spoilers: macaulay culkin is in kings |
