From what I hear, we'll probably get bits and pieces, but not get hit headon. Path as far as NC/SC is concerned, black dot is where I live. The storm's moving extremely fast, so we'll probably only be getting rain and wind on Friday evening - Saturday afternoon. Re: Gustav ??? - A. Re: Hurricane Season 2008 - exanimo - 09-04-2008 All I get from Hanna is a 30% chance of rain on Sunday. :'( Re: Hurricane Season 2008 - MrGrey - 09-04-2008 to whomever is in this area... let me know if anyone gets taken away on helicopters... also let me know if they return or if they're placed in a FEMA concentration camp. I'm very curious to see how this pans out. Re: Hurricane Season 2008 - Kyrie Sutra FRICK - 09-04-2008 I live right on the Fl/ Ga border and they seem to be coming right for us. Re: Hurricane Season 2008 - Patweek! - 09-05-2008 In Delaware, all we get is rain and wind. And trashy girls. Re: Hurricane Season 2008 - Surf314 - 09-05-2008 Ike is going to hit Florida I guess? Hannah is already a tropical storm though and it shouldn't get stronger where it's at now, only weaker. Oh and there is already a Josephine. [/quote] I really hope it goes away by Sunday. I'm supposed to help my dad with a catering job this Sunday and it sucks to buy all that meat and then have the event get called off because of bad weather. We start slow cooking the ribs on Saturday so that 'll be fun. Y'all can buy one of Dave's indestructible dome shelters and tell those people, "You're having your event , now COME EAT THESE RIBS YOU CHICKENSHITS." And Ike's forecasted to hug Florida and trip into the panhandle. How the hell is Florida still with us? Plus, too, Ike could potentially mean *more* rain on what will be an already saturated East Coast if it keeps curving that way. The high pressure to our northwest will probably push it that way. Re: Hurricane Season 2008 - dapngwnman - 09-05-2008 What. The fuck. How do I have a Tropical Storm watch all the way up in NYC? This is fucking nuts. Re: Hurricane Season 2008 - Surf314 - 09-07-2008 Ike is now going to hit you Fail? Oh hey I just realized, they update their image with the same url....stay tuned to this picture for more info, also bigger up top where my comment made more sense when it was aimed at Florida. Re: Hurricane Season 2008 - Fail Medic - 09-07-2008 lol, soon we're gonna see "PLEASE DON'T DIRECT-LINK IMAGES!". And, it's bad enough it will draw a line completely across Cuba. The only good to come of that will be a serious weakening, and with the waters cooler from Gustav (?), maybe it won't be able to power up again. Get ready, Galveston. ;_; How did Evil Cheese's catering job go? Re: Hurricane Season 2008 - Fail Medic - 09-11-2008 Uh... Texas? gl hf :-[ Re: Hurricane Season 2008 - A. Crow - 09-11-2008 i was supposed to leave for Beaumont today. No, i'm not delaying because of the hurricane, my damn university still hasn't paid me. My brother tells me they're expecting to Ike to still be category 2 when it brushes Austin.  It seems it really wouldn't have mattered, the lawyers I'm supposed to be seeing evacuated earlier this week. WTF am I paying these people for. |
